THE TEAM

We see the Ambition as your team not ours. We have a team of teachers who are experts in their field and any of whom have trained locally at Laine Theatre Arts. Many of our teachers perform in the West End in pretigious shows such as the Lion King, Mamma Mia and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang to name but a few. This knowledge and experience provides a relevant and aspirational insight for our students. To support our classes, parents, students and teachers, we have admin and marketing experts who assist with the day to day running of Ambition. The team is led by our Principal, Miss Nadine who lives and breaths everything dance and ensures that Ambition provides the best possible service and dance teaching to everyone.

NADINE DESSENT

Ambition School of Dance Owner & Principal

Ambition School of Dance was founded in March 2011 by the school's Principal, Nadine Dessent. What started off as one small class with three children has fast-grown into a successful dance school with over 20 classes running on a weekly basis.

Born and raised in Epsom, Miss Nadine began dancing aged 3 at a local dance school based in Ashtead, Surrey. She attended lessons in various dance styles including ballet, tap and freestlye disco and gained many awards in each style. She took part in numerous shows and competitions throughout her amateur career and after leaving her dance school aged 17 she studied to take her teaching qualifications with the International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA) so that she could teach classes of her own.

Miss Nadine works closely with IDTA examiners continually developing her dance teacher training in all genres. She is currently training for her licentiate teaching qualifications in 2025.

In 2011 her dream of opening her own school became a reality and Ambition School of Dance was born.
