This year marks a very special milestone for Ambition School of Dance as we celebrate 15 incredible years of inspiring dancers, building confidence, and creating unforgettable memories.
Founded in March 2011 by Principal Nadine Dessent, Ambition began with a simple dream – to create a welcoming dance school where children could learn, grow and fall in love with dance. What started as one small class with just three students has grown into a thriving dance community with a full timetable of weekly classes and a vibrant studio in the heart of Epsom.
From Small Beginnings to a Thriving Dance Community
Over the past 15 years, Ambition has grown into a place where hundreds of children have taken their first dance steps. The school now offers a wide range of classes including ballet, tap, modern, street dance and musical theatre, welcoming students from 18 months through to teenagers and even adults who want to rediscover their love of dance.
At Ambition, dance is about far more than technique. It’s about building confidence, creativity, discipline and friendships that last long after the music stops.
A Place Where Young Dancers Shine
One of the most magical parts of Ambition is seeing students grow both on and off the dance floor. Over the years, dancers have:
Performed in exciting theatre shows and local events
Taken IDTA dance examinations and achieved recognised qualifications
Built lifelong friendships and unforgettable stage memories
Performance opportunities are a huge part of the Ambition experience, giving dancers the chance to step into the spotlight and share their passion with family and friends.
A Dedicated and Inspiring Team
Behind every great dance school is a passionate team of teachers. Ambition is proud to have instructors with professional performing experience, including those who have appeared in West End productions. Their knowledge and passion help inspire the next generation of dancers while bringing real industry insight into the studio.
Led by Miss Nadine, whose lifelong love of dance inspired the school’s creation, the team works tirelessly to ensure every child feels supported, encouraged and proud of their achievements.
Looking Ahead to the Future
While 15 years is a huge achievement, this milestone is also a celebration of everything still to come. Ambition continues to grow, welcoming new students, expanding opportunities and preparing for many more performances, exams and unforgettable moments.
From tiny toddlers taking their first steps in dance to teenagers performing confidently on stage, every dancer who has walked through the studio doors has played a part in the Ambition story.
